Describing 1rstWAP’s Free SMS service as the most integrated facility of SMS provider, Indonesian magazine ”PC Media” found 1rstWAP’s Free SMS service to be the best among a line up of the most prominent SMS services that were reviewed in its July 10th issue. Under the headline “Free SMS via Internet”, the article, published by Indonesian’s leading magazine for independent technology evaluations, reviewed a range of free SMS services from around the world. The six services reviewed were chosen randomly by using a search engine. Then each SMS services provider was evaluated in four criteria: simplicity, designs, navigation, and facilities. Simplicity was given 40% weight score, design 20%, navigation 20%, and the facilities 20%. The combination of scores on these criteria was used to identify the best SMS service provider.

1rstWAP has the top score overall. Facility, which refers to the features provided on the web site by 1rstWAP, such as ring tone & logo, downloads mobile communities, and downloadable messenger with global buddy list for Yahoo, MSN & ICQ buddies, contributed the superior function of the free SMS service. The reviewer also gave 1rstWAP good score for ‘simplicity’ and ‘navigation’.
