United Mobile, an MVNO providing pan-European mobile services to business people and travelers, has outsourced all of its SMS messaging services to 1rstWAP. Under this unique deal, 1rstWAP will handle all SMS delivery and routing for United Mobile's subscribers using its own network of SMSC nodes. Supporting both United Mobile’s pre- and post-paid subscribers, 1rstWAP accepts the SMS messages sent by United Mobile’s subscribers, and carries out the necessary delivery and acceptance of replies to ensure that United Mobile’s subscribers can keep in touch by SMS no matter where they roam.

As a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, United Mobile uses infrastructure and systems owned and operated by other companies. Outsource partners of United Mobile include Mobilkom and 1rstWAP.

Outsourcing SMS services to 1rstWAP offers significant savings and efficiencies to United Mobile. For example, a key benefit that United Mobile enjoys is access to a very wide number of SMS destination operators across Europe and elsewhere in the world. To make hundreds of these agreements individually would be very expensive and time-consuming. United Mobile also avoids the significant costs of investing in and maintaining SMSCs and related infrastructure and systems.

1rstWAP provides these services through its European-based nodes and infrastructure which is fully supported by its 24/7 Operations and Development Center in Asia.
